Mega Doses of Probiotics for Constipation
While this is definitely probably a TMI subject, I think it’s important to mention because it’s probably a common side-effect of the diet. Constipation has been a bit of an issue for me following the end of a few of my HCG Injections rounds. I have finally discovered the fix for this.
I was having a lot of indigestion and constipation after the end of my last 2 rounds that was really quite troubling. I felt like the flora in my gut was probably not good and not balanced, and it doesn’t feel good to feel bloated and yucky inside.
I had been taking a couple probiotic pills but found they didn’t help at all. However, I decided to start taking A LOT more. I started taking 5 pills, 2x’s a day- 10 pills of the probiotic capsules, of a probiotic that is already a high dose. Guess what? Instant relief and completely normal digestion and bowel movements. It was almost miraculous I tell you. And the really neat thing was that I needed to continue taking this many pills for a couple months, but after a time I was able to wean off them completely and still continue to experience the same great digestion.
I highly recommend taking much higher doses of probiotics than is on the “suggested serving size” if you are experiencing this uncomfortable problem. I will always have this now in my little “arsenal” of solutions for getting of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin.

Wow! The probiotic idea worked really well for me – first time! I usually use senna-leaf tea if I am desperate but I know this is not good for the gut. (I do have psyllium husks every day but sometimes it’s not enough.) Thanks Rayzel.

Have you heard of a product called Tone-detox? It was recommended in a HCG Diet book to help with this problem.

I think Psyllium husk powder works really well for constipation on the HCG plan, I used protein shakes instead of meat during the very low calorie phase 2 portion of the diet and added unflavored psylium husk fiber. I would recommend using an unflavored organic husk powder like the one from NOW foods or Yerba Prima as they do not have any artificial flavors or sweeteners. Metamucil also can work but that can either have sugar or aspartame which is not good for your health, probiotics are also useful as well. I think three servings of fiber are very useful but also get a good three servings of green veggies, like spinach, kale, broccoli during the day, and three servings of fruit, preferably, blueberries, strawberries, and an apple and make sure drink plenty of water, at least 10 glasses a day to keep you regular, drink a lot of water with your fiber. If you do not like the texture of fiber, take the capsules but make sure you take it with large glass of water.
