This kind of feels like a cop-out blogpost because it’s short and not my usual, “how you can get past your love hate relationship with hCG” type article that goes on and on for what seems like a post that will never end.
I’m not sure when I started feeling like anything less than a chapter book isn’t enough. I was just telling my dad the other night that when I was first introduced to creative writing in 4th grade, we all had to write a story- I think the requirement was something around 2-3 pages long. Mine was approximately 30 pages long. Yeah so don’t expect any changes in my long explanations any time soon, this has been a 20 year habit in the making.
This might seem not related to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin at all- but in reality, we need more tools at our disposal that will help us to make the lasting life changes needed to be healthy for life.
I came across this little “spice tin” at Cost Plus the other day. It has a lid and holds 7 different spices. What I LOVED about this is the minute my eyes caught sight of it is I saw a less complicated cooking experience in my future.
I mean, how clever! Why have I never seen this? Apparently spice boxes instead of spice jars are very common in indian cooking culture. And it makes so much sense.
I plan on getting a couple more and storing like spices together. It’s just so easy- pop the lid off and have access to 7 spices at once that you can easily spoon out, instead of opening a million different tiny jars and then having to re-close the same million jars every time you want to cook something with flavor. Okay, I suppose this is a slight exaggeration, but anyone who uses a lot of spices in their cooking knows what I’m talking about- typically this is the case with the more ethnic foods like indian and thai food.
Anything that can make our cooking experience during Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the protocol easier and more enjoyable is something worth sharing.
And if you’re wondering what’s in my little spice tin, it’s turmeric, coriander, paprika, ginger, garam masala, chili powder, and onion powder.
Even more snazzy is it was all of 10 bucks.
