This is a monthly series of my IG stories put together to show you both what I’m up to on a more personal level, as well as answers to things related to the hCG protocol and maintaining weight loss. Please note that the writing below may seem a little funky at times because it’s just taken from my verbal IG stories but I know ya’ll might not want to watch but you still might like to know the basics of what’s goin’ on.

Heather’s interview on p3tolife
On a side note, bell bottoms are back in the fashion scene! I love them because they are perfect for my body type. I never bought those skinny jeans because they look horrible on me. I need to find bell bottoms before they become out of style again.
Awesome interview–I highly encourage people to give things a try, like her son not wanting spaghetti squash at first– personally I’ve always been one to encourage my family and myself try it at least once before not liking it–example my husband hates cauliflower since childhood and stayed clear and I said babe please try it once more, our tastebuds change, I found it to be true things I absolutely hated as a child are now favorites because I gave it a second try. So I made “loaded cauliflower bites” ( mock loaded potato skins) he absolutely loved it and couldn’t believe it was cauliflower. Always try something once I say????????
It’s so true it’s really worth keeping an open mind about things. I have to tell that I can’t tell how many p3tolife members that I have interviewed said “we won’t gonna do the curry dish because we don’t eat curry & I knew we wouldn’t like it” Then, since it’s in the plan, they tried it. And everyone -except for one- ended up loving it! Give it a try anyway, because you might be surprised.
The p3tolife plan has so much variety. with types of food, spices, herbs – people end up discovering that there’s this whole new way of eating homemade food that has so much variety, flavor and taste – that they are actually happy eating healthy! And this is really a big part of maintaining weight loss long-term because we get bored. At some point we’re going to look for some taste, not just the salt. So learning a way to make food which is actually more satisfying than a restaurant and yet still simple to make is really so empowering!
Exercise for me helps keep me mentally on track in eating properly.
Just did crossfit, my back is still healing so I did not do any weights.
Learned: Look at what you see before you in life, then ask yourself how can I do something like this.
We make our own popsicles (here’s the plastic thingies we use on Amazon for this) made up of vitamin water because my son is also sensitive to sugar. And you can’t really buy healthy & sugar-free popsicles anywhere.
Someone asked a good question: the idea of losing like a half pound a week following the p3tolife recipes (for those who don’t know, P3toLife is a full structured program to follow for Phase 3 of the hCG Diet Protocol – it can be used between rounds and/or after you are done losing weight – it’s the only program of it’s kind and pretty much, when ladies follow it, they stabilize and maintain their weight loss form hCG. No more guessing and stress). She would rather not to do another round of hCG if she doesn’t have to.
I often tell people if there’s not much to lose, like 5-10lbs, they could try intermittent fasting instead.
I don’t know if it’ll work that way. It’s possible that your body’s metabolism will just go down and you wouldn’t lose even with eating less.
The good thing with the HCG hormone is that it will let you get a lot done for your time.
In my case, if I will do it and I will use the p3tolife recipes and that approach, I will try to cycle the calories – so you have days where the purpose is weight loss and some days for maintenance.
In using the p3tolife program, maybe you can cycle the use of the meal plans. Like use the week 1 menu with 900+ calories then use week 3 with 1400 calories for the next. Then just cycle back to lower calorie weeks. This could be an experiment.
Sometimes it makes me feel sad that I am not able to reply to some emails and private messages. I apologize that I can’t always have an answer and sometimes I can’t just do it. I wish I could…
Please know, that even though my brain was not cooperating lately, I do care about you all.
The interviews are typically easier for me to do. This is because there is lots of talking but not from me!
The p3tolife program, that’s difficult to do but now that it’s available, that is such a big accomplishment that will really help you guys a lot – for the maintenance part.
I had a lovely p3tolife interview with Kathy…and realized it was not there – I remembered recording it…
The reason why it’s such a big deal – coz my sickness makes me drained out after interactions with people. It has nothing to do with the interview, it’s just my symptoms.
Plus today I drove far – about 3 hours – to have my body fat testing.
The interview was such useful, valuable, organic stuff – really natural. We are going to re-record it. But man, talk about wasted energy lol. I had to go to bed right after that.
My son usually goes out with my husband every other week to go to grandparents, but this time my son was sick so he had stayed home with me this working week. He crawled into my bed with me and cuddled… then asked me what my favorite smoothie was.
And then he starts crawling out of the bed and asked if he could use the blender to make a smoothie for himself…
A few minutes later, he comes in with a smoothie for me and it’s the first smoothie that he ever made!
That was so sweeeet! It made the day going badly totally worth it.
I wish my body with just do what’s in my head. I just need some recovery.
