These are short testimonials of ladies who’ve written in their hCG diet results to me for quick motivation.
——————————–
I have a story to tell about my own sugar addiction and how I beat it 2 years ago. But I’m going to leave that story to another day.
There is someone else who deserves the spotlight today – many of you are already familiar with her as one of the stars in the youtube hCG community – our very own HebbieDobby (or, in the real world, Debbie – although how you can call her Debbie when there is such a delightful nickname like HebbieDobby I just don’t know!)
The Ending That Created the Need for A Beginning
She began in a place that perhaps some of you reading this are coming from now.
She was a smoker for seventeen years, she was a binge sugar addict since she was a child, and used sugar and food as a way to cope with some major disappointments in her childhood. This led to becoming about 200 pounds overweight, suffering from diabetes, and at one point, even giving up the will to live. She was reaching an end.
Her Triumphs with hCG So Far
She discovered this protocol and has lost a whopping 100 pounds so far with it. She hopes to lose an additional 100 for an EPIC hCG interview to celebrate a 200lb weight loss with the diet here on hcgchica.com, which I’m pretty sure would be the most weight lost on record ever on this protocol, at least in our little hCG community.
Of course that’s not her motivator for losing weight but I’m pretty stoked for when that day arrives!
Sugar Addiction
Debbie has completely changed her life around – one particular aspect that we are focusing on in this particular interview is sugar addiction. Yes, that real, bonafide condition where you are literally a slave to overconsuming foods containing sugar or that turn into sugar in your body to the detriment of your own body and still you can’t stop.
Why It’s Important to See if YOU Are Addicted to Sugar or Carbs
As a result of communicating by private email with thousands of you hCGers now, I have become aware that what Debbie and I both have suffered is not uncommon.
Addressing this sugar addiction is really REQUIRED in order to lose and maintain weight loss from the diet. One of the biggest setbacks people experience on this protocol is becoming a victim of their sugar cravings over and over again, causing regaining of weight, a feeling of loss of control, and then a giving up, or multiple rounds to fix these problems, while not getting to the heart of what is wrong, meaning the results do not last.
There IS another way. I found it, HebbieDobby has found it – today we discuss getting rid of the cravings associated with sugar addiction. How she has done it, and what specific resources helped her understand what was happening in her body when she is and isn’t eating sugar.
Please listen to our interview- video or mp3 podcast version, to hear the whole story!
Now here’s a question for you – in the comments below, let me know if you have struggled with something similar and if you HAVE already beat it, how you did it, and if you’re still struggling, what you are going to try in order to address it.

Nikkia Gumbs says
Thank you so much for making this episode. I am 100% addicted to sugar and can’t stop when I start. As I’ve gotten older, I have realized that I just can’t have it. Even a small bit will send me spiraling out of control. Thank you again. Your website is such a great resource.

Hi @Nikkia Gumbs I think there are a lot of us hidden sugar addicts out there – if you haven’t already seen it, I also have another article for helping break the sugar addiction cycle prior to starting hCG here that you might find of use: http://hcgchica.com/hcgchicas-little-pre-hcg-diet-thing/ I hope that helps! – Rayzel
