Actually, hCG really only works in conjunction with the very low calorie diet and no fats or oils in your diet.
The hormone makes you body very sensitive to fats, carbs, and a regular calorie intake- meaning any of these things can cause abnormal weight gain that wouldn’t occur if you were not taking the hCG hormone.
So all that is to say that it’s very important to only take hCG when you are actually on Phase 2. To take it at other times would actually not only not help with weight loss, it would likely cause abnormal weight gain.
