Making Changes to the Original Hcg Diet
Why do miracle noodles/shirataki noodles smell fishy?
Some of you may have wondering, like myself, why the miracle noodles aka shirataki noodles that we sometimes use on the hCG diet have that fishy odor that requires you to rinse them well to make them edible? Apparently, according to this source, the raw Konjac flour that the noodles are made from have a fishy odor. Go figure? A root that stinks like fish!
How can I do Phase 2 without gluten?
Good question!
This is actually easily done by just removing the grissini/melba in the diet.
As a matter of fact, very few hCGers eat this on the diet anyway. I never have. Not one single melba (sorry m!) Very few I know of do.
It won’t harm you on the diet in any way to leave out the grain product and the majority of those who had it and then removed it felt better- they report their cravings are much less when they do not eat the grissini.
In fact, the start of the hCG diet for me was how I originally became gluten free myself- it’s been over 2 years now and I’m gluten free for life.
