I’m excited to release to you guys the very first episode of the HCG Diet Community Video Project!

This is just the 1st of many in a series I hope. The purpose of this project is to get the perspective of a variety of hCGer’s on one hCG related topic, in a concise manner. The hCGer’s who have submitted their 1 minute video come from all different stages of the Diet- some just beginning, some halfway through, and some finished and in maintenance.
The reason I thought of this idea in the first place is because because we all have different bodies, different life circumstances, and different things that make us tick (or NOT tick!).
Having the input of a variety of people on a certain hCG related question I felt could be really valuable. There may be something that someone says or suggests that really hits home with you and that you feel would work for you well personally.

So! Let’s get right to it- the question for Episode 1 is:
What Keeps You Motivated on Phase 2 of the hCG Diet?
Tabitha: Tabitha is on her 2nd round of HCG Injections and has already lost 24 lbs. I literally had tears well up in my eyes when she said it would be easier to show us instead of tell us what keeps her motivated on P2- she panned over to her baby daughter playing on the floor. After struggling with her weight her entire life and never learning good eating habits, and her hope is to get healthy, eat right, learn about her body, and pass on all those positive things that she learns to her, so that’s all she ever knows. Donna: Donna has lost 127 lbs in 6 rounds of this protocol. Yes, 127 lbs. I’m sorry, did I tell you she lost 127 lbs with this weight loss protocol? K. Just wanted to make sure we all got that. (psst….stay tuned, you will get to see a private skype interview with Donna very soon!) She started at 270 lbs and ended at 143 lbs. She says her motivation was just getting the job done. She wants to be healthy and be around for her children, her grandchildren and have a better life than what she had been experiencing. She wanted to just get through the time span so that she could finish and move on. Watch Donna’s hCG Vlogs.
Lori: Lori is on her first round of this weight loss protocol. 3 things help keep her motivated. The first is other vloggers. She likes to find an hCG vlogger who started out awhile back and has been through several rounds and she likes watching the chronology of their vlogs and seeing their transformation- what they went through, and how things came out successfully at the end. That really makes her believe that this weight loss protocol will work for her. The 2nd is other vloggers that are in the same hCG stage as she is. It gives her encouragement and makes her feel like they are all in this together and they’re all their to support each other. Lastly, when her clothing starts getting lose and too big.

hCGanMe: This gal is down 39 lbs now with this weight loss protocol! For her, the knowledge that she’s already eaten junk foods before gives her the self control to not eat them while on P2- she tells herself that she’s already eaten those foods and already knows what they taste like, so why does she need to eat them now? Kathy: Kathy seeks the Lord and read’s scripture for everything that she does in her life, and her weight loss journey is included in that. One practical little tip that helps her on P2 if she’s having a craving is to brush her teeth, rinse with some strong listerine and drink 8 oz. of water- she says this usually brings her back into the right frame of mind- “am I hungry or am I just craving something?” Watch Kathy’s Vlogs.
Donna: Donna has lost 35 lbs in just one 50 day round of this protocol so far. The biggest thing she wanted to get across to the viewers is that if she can do it, you can do it! She knows it’s sounds cliche and yet still feels it truly applies (I think Donna is just not giving herself enough credit here!) Sounds like what she is saying is that she is not someone she may have considered to be able to diet successfully, and yet she has done so well on this protocol, so if you are a person who thinks this about yourself, don’t assume you’ll fail- you CAN do it. Some of the basics are truly essential to staying motivated and she mentioned them- reading Pounds and Inches, the original diet program, watching hCG vloggers (plenty here to choose from!), finding the hCG community online here and becoming a part of it (see Support on the hCG Diet and Learning how to Vlog on how to do that). Like Donna, most likely you have multiple reasons for wanting to lose weight. She mentions wanting to have that “after picture” that we all see of other people’s transformations, which is indeed rewarding. She wants to be a positive role model for her kids- the past has been troubled by feeding her kids macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, and many sugary cereals- she is encouraged to see herself changing not just what she eats, but what her kids eat as well.
Kelly: Kelly is on her first round of this diet plan and has lost 14 lbs so far- she found out the hard way (like most of us do as some point!) that cheating on the diet is simply not worth it. She too wants to get to that after picture- she keeps this in the fore-front of her mind. Additionally, having a 6 month old and an 8 year old, she wants to lose weight for them.
Rayzel/hcgchica: (me!) I have lost 54 lbs with this diet plan. For me, one of the biggest things that kept me motivated on Phase 2 was the knowledge of what waited for me if I didn’t make this change. I had developed a binge eating disorder and I remember sitting in my car in the Target parking lot, eating an entire bag of cookies while my 1 year old son sat in his carseat in the back- at that age, I managed to get away with giving him only 2 cookies, but I knew that in the very near future, he would be old enough to comprehend what I was doing and to want to follow my actions. It was such a horrible thing, yet I felt like I couldn’t help myself. Going through the diet protocol healed me in more ways than one and helped me change my eating patterns for good.
