So the question was What Keeps You Motivated on P2 of the hCG Diet? Let’s hear what your fellow everyday hCGers had to say….
Debbie: Debbie (known to those of us endeared to her as Hebbiedobby) has lost 100 lbs with HCG Injections so far. 100 lbs! She hopes to lose an additional 100 lbs as her journey continues. Her initial motivation was in her words, “Diet or Die.” She was kind enough to insert a before and after photo of her face from then till now (hint, stop reading and watch the video!) and the difference is simply striking. Her 2nd biggest motivator following this was being involved in the hCG Diet Community. She mentioned how once you’ve invested yourself into something, you become interested in it, and by immersing herself into the community with other hCGers she was motivated to keep going. 3 very important reads she spoke of: Pounds and Inches– the original diet protocol that Dr. Simeons himself wrote (free download),Weightloss Apocalypse by Robin Woodall
(truly, a MUST read), and Fat Chance: Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease by Robert H. Lustig (just ordered that one myself! Thanks hebbie….) Debbie had a challenge that some of you may be facing- once she started feeling better doing this weight loss protocol, she discovered the original Diet or Die goal was losing some of it’s oomph and she needed to find other goals that would motivate her to lose over 200lbs. Kim: Kim has lost 15 lbs with the hCG Diet. She reminds herself of why she started her weight loss journey in the first place. She was simply tired. Tired of being tired, tired of sucking in her stomach (oh I know how that ones feels kim!), and tired of feeling like she had a tire around her waist. She wanted to make a real change. She says she feels so much better now- not tired, her clothes fit, she can breathe through her nose, she doesn’t have a headache, and all those things remind her of how much she has benefited from this diet plan. Her best advice: Remind yourself constantly- she even has a book she keeps notes in (great idea btw!) of why she started the hCG diet to begin with. Watch Kim’s hCG Diet Vlogs

Barbara: Barbara has lost 15 lbs with this protocol as well. You can see my private interview with her about her full hCG journey as well. Barbara mentioned a huge motivator that I’m pretty sure is big for the large majority of hCGers, and that is seeing the scale go down so quickly on a daily basis. She also had a pair of board shorts that were too small for her and she kept trying them on and watched as she got smaller and smaller until finally the shorts fit (woa mind connection Barbara- I did the same thing with a couple pairs of jeans!) This is a GREAT idea. When you do this there is something very tangible about your size change that you can’t deny. Sometimes inches aren’t even enough to get us women to see ourselves as we truly are, but seeing clothes fit that didn’t fit before is truly telling. Lastly, she mentions another key element which is to talk with supporters of this protocol- those who have been through the protocol themselves, know what it’s like, and who will help you remind you of the overall picture when the going gets tough. Joann: She has lost 45 lbs with the hCG program. She has some major motivators- her grandkids, her family, her health problems. Her last testing showed high cholesterol and high blood pressure and diabetes runs in her family. 45 lbs later with this weight loss program, her most recent testing showed she was doing great. Her grandkids are young and she says she couldn’t really get out and about and play with them previously. Now she is able to- water parks and all! Watch Joann’s hCG Diet vlogs
Riki: 28 lbs gone with hCG so far. Her top 5 motivators while on P2. One, she weighs in every day. For her it’s a huge motivator to keep going. She also measures herself once a week- sometimes if the lbs don’t go down much, she finds the inches have. Two, she loves to compile pictures and videos for her before and after hCG vlogs which she usually does, like many of us, at the end of each round. Three, shopping! Trying on clothes that fit now that didn’t fit 28 lbs ago. Four, research hCG diet recipes- make the protocol more fun don’t get bored with it by eating the same things every single day. Five, the hCG Diet Community itself- Riki has felt so motivated by the other hCGers doing their own journeys and sharing their own struggles and triumphs. Watch Riki’s hCG Diet Vlogs
Michelle: Her first round of hCG has started with a bang- 14 lbs in 10 days so far! For her, it’s the numbers that are motivating. The numbers she sees on the scale, the time it takes her to do the diet properly, and the money she had to spend (hCG ain’t cheap!). Seeing the scale down each day is exciting and she doesn’t want to mess that up. Additionally, she spends a lot of time researching and reading, really getting to know the hCG diet program. Nicole: Like all of us, her main motivation is to lose weight. One of the things that helped her to stick to her goal was seeing the actual results on the scale. Secondly, support. The hCG Community on Youtube, Myfitnesspal, and FB have been indispensable to her. Lastly, she has a great tip which is being prepared- by preparing your foods, possibly cooking ahead and pre-bagging them it’s like you don’t have an excuse to cheat. Watch Nicole’s hCG Diet Vlogs
Jamie: Jamie has lost 22 lbs with this protocol so far. She’s surprised herself in that she used to hate the scale but has found it quite motivating to see it, in general, continually going down. I think many people can identify with this- we may have had an unhealthy relationship with the scale in the past, but there can be a way for it to be used as a tool- just a tool, that’s all- that can then help keep you motivated but that doesn’t define you as a person or deem your worth as a person. Kathy: Kathy is finishing her 2nd round of hCG. She has lost an average of a 1/2 lb per day on the Diet- and this is totally typical results for most women- so that can be you too. She’s lost 40 lbs total now in the 2 rounds. Her 2nd way to stay continually motivated has been to break down her weightloss into individual segments (this is an excellent idea). When she looked at the idea that she needed to lose 100 lbs, that it would most likely take more than a year to achieve this, was very overwhelming to think about her prospective weightloss in that way. Thinking of it as individual 40 day sections made it so much more manageable- it’s much easier to think of doing something for just 40 days as opposed to doing something difficult for a full year right? Each 40 days round finished equals a goal achieved. She doesn’t have to wait a whole year to reach a goal. In this way she feels confident she will lose all the weight she needs to lose. Lastly, as has been reiterated here several times and shows it’s true worth- the hCG Diet Community. Her subscribers on youtube who watch her weight loss journey vlogs have been so helpful to her through her journey. Stephanie: Stephanie is most motivated by the hCG Community online on youtube and FB. They motivate her to do better through their truthfulness, honesty, support, releases, gains, lessons- all of it- hCGer’s sharing their experience and lending their support in this community has kept her going and inspired. She also finds that weighing daily on hCG keeps her motivated- some choose to not weigh every day, but she feels having this reward is important (it’s true- this diet is not easy, and seeing the scale go down is a reminder of why you’re doing it!).
